Welcome to the Malden Family Health Center. We are a practice of family physicians dedicated to serving you and your family. Family physicians possess unique attitudes, skills, and knowledge that qualify us to provide continuing and comprehensive medical care, health maintenance, and preventive services to adults and children. As specialists in family medicine, we are best qualified to serve as your advocate in all health related matters, including the appropriate use of consultants, health services and community resources. Diagnostic testing services and inpatient care facilities are readily accessible. We are sure our family is a perfect match for your family.

I am a family physician, one of many across this country. This is what I believe: You, the patient, are my first professional responsibility, whether man, woman or child, ill or well, seeking care, healing or knowledge. You and your family deserve high quality, affordable health care including treatment, prevention and health promotion. I support access to health care for all. The specialty of family medicine trains me to care for the whole person physically and emotionally, throughout life, working with your medical history and family dynamics, coordinating your care with other physicians when necessary. This is my promise to you.
Walk-in care is provided for a variety of illnesses or minor injuries that need attention but do not require emergency care. Or, if you'd like a same-day appointment, call the Malden Family Health Center at 781-338-7400.
If you are starting or adding to your family, the Malden Family Health Center is happy to provide prenatal care and delivery services. Babies are delivered by our physicians who are skilled at providing continuing care to you and your newborn before, during and after delivery. Prenatal classes are available to prepare you for your new baby.
We provide care to children of all ages and levels of development. Childhood immunizations and regular check-ups are available at the Malden Family Health Center, as are physicals for participation in sports. If your child is sick, we will promptly see them. We also provide health care and counseling geared specifically to adolescents.
Adult yearly physicals, gynecological exams and sick visits are available at the Malden Family Health Center. Premarital exams and pre-employment physicals are provided, as well as ongoing care for acute and chronic illnesses.
The Malden Family Health Center has many services available to women, including family planning, yearly pap tests and breast exams, counseling on menopause, and treatment for osteoporosis.
To best treat the whole person, we address body, mind and spirit in Integrative Health consultations. These consist of an in-depth history and then discussing multiple approaches to your health issues. There is a world of complementary alternative approaches to health that may be helpful. This kind of consultation addresses what is available and helps you to design a care plan that best serves you and fist with your health needs and beliefs.
Other services to help improve quality of life include acupuncture, information and counseling on stress management, smoking cessation, weight loss, parenting skills.
Minor surgery on skin lesions, colposcopy (a gynecological procedure), and sigmoidoscopy (a screening test for colon cancer) are all performed at the Malden Family Health Center. We also have the facilities to cast or splint minor injuries and repair cuts or lacerations.
The Malden Family Health Center is part of Hallmark Health System. Inpatient care is generally provided at the Lawrence Memorial campus and the Melrose-Wakefield campus.
Translation services are available for all patients. They frequently include the following languages: Spanish, Arabic, American Sign Language (ASL), Bosnian, Cambodian, Chinese Cantonese, Croatian, French, German, Greek, French Creole/Haitian, Hindi, Hmong, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Chinese Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Thai, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
There is a physician on call for the Malden Family Health Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week, available to answer emergency medical questions or concerns.
