Maret School is an intimate and caring community and the only independent, coeducational day school in Washington, D.C. with students in grades K-12 all on a single campus. We maintain a student enrollment of approximately 600 and place a premium on small classes and a remarkably low student-teacher ratio. Our faculty provides superior academic programs that challenge students while inspiring a joy of learning.
As our Mission Statement notes: the interactions within a strong and diverse set of students and teachers stand at the center of a Maret education. I would suggest to you that those interactions are not only at the center but, indeed, define the essence of Maret. As you explore our website, I hope it will give you a sense of Maret's program and the more intangible qualities that contribute to an excellent education for each student. I cannot think of a school to which I would rather dedicate my energy.
