Non-Discrimination Policy

Maret School stands firmly behind the principle that the admission of students, the employment of staff, the operation of programs, and the governance of the School be open to all who are qualified regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation. It believes that this principle is both firmly grounded in the spirit of American democracy and in keeping with the civil responsibilities of an independent school.

Admission

The energy of Maret simply can’t be contained. It bubbles through our corridors and classrooms, sparkles on our stages and playing fields, spills joyfully out of our campus into the community. Spend some time with us and you’ll understand what we mean!

We are extremely proud of our program:  635 students ranging from kindergarten through high school on a single city campus; a vigorous and varied college preparatory curriculum; and extensive extracurricular activities outside the classroom.

Maret actively embraces different cultures, races, interests, and perspectives. Our students do not fit a particular mold. We have many students from around the world; we have academically talented students, strong athletes, and creative artists; and we have students whose gifts are the sense of joy and curiosity they bring to school each day.

The links to the left will help you learn more about Maret as well as guide you through our admission procedures. Feel free to start the process by requesting a viewbook. Better yet, schedule a small group tour online: after all, the best way to appreciate Maret is to visit in person!  Please do not hesitate to call our office at 202-939-8814 if you have any questions.

We can’t wait to get to know you!
