Diversity at Maret
Familiar Voices
The benefits and challenges of a varied student body extend beyond our campus and touch Maret families as well. Our students don’t come from a common mold; their home lives are diverse and often non-traditional. Maret is committed to supporting families as they explore and embrace our community’s differences. We also invite parents to lend their insight and assistance to our continuing effort to be a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
Maret Parents Association (MPA)
The MPA provides numerous volunteer opportunities for parents. The annual Scholarship Auction, our spring Fête Champêtre, welcome receptions for new families, and parent peer group meetings are just a few of the MPA-sponsored activities that take place throughout the school year.
Parent Diversity Committee
Parents who are interested in furthering and supporting religious, socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity at Maret meet throughout the year to share insights and plan events. Recent panel discussions have included “Affirmative Action” and “Title IX.”
Parent Ambassadors
As Admission Office volunteers, Parent Ambassadors attend recruitment fairs, help host Maret’s annual Open House, assist families with the application process, and welcome new families into the Maret community. Families may also volunteer to serve as new parent liaisons.
