Intensive Study Week

Students and faculty embark on a fascinating week of “out of class” projects and trips during Intensive Study Week – also known as ISW.  These nontraditional learning experiences stretch the mind and rejuvenate the spirit.

ISW adventures include excursions beyond the DC area as well as adventures closer to home. Students may also choose to stay on campus and focus on an exciting array of “not your typical subjects” – there are new options to tempt you every year!

The entire Lower School spends ISW partnering with older Maret students to explore the cultures, languages, and traditions of a particular continent in engaging, out-of-the-ordinary ways.
