Upper School Mathematics Long-Term Substitute Teacher (Part-time)
Maret School is looking for an inspiring and engaging long-term substitute math teacher who encourages students to find joy in all things mathematics. This part-time position will include teaching two sections of precalculus, each meeting three times per week for 70-minute classes. The position will begin at the end of March and will extend for approximately 12 weeks.
Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment and passion for equity, inclusion and belonging in all facets of their work.
A successful candidate will:
- Have demonstrated expertise in teaching mathematics at the upper school level;
- Display excellent classroom management skills and enthusiasm for working with upper school students;
- Exhibit a deep passion for teaching and interest in working with students with a wide range of skills and strengths;
- Have a minimum of two years teaching/subbing experience;
- Have an advanced degree in mathematics or related field (preferred).
Compensation will be $650 to $1,100 per week, dependent on experience and qualifications.
