French
French is offered starting in Middle School. Students can continue their study of French through high school and immerse themselves in the language on a month-long summer trip to France.
Course Sequence
Three levels of French are offered in Middle School, starting in Grade 6. The Upper School French curriculum begins with French 3 and includes several seminar courses following French 4, including Advanced French Grammar and Francophone Culture. Additional seminars are offered through the Malone Schools Online Network (MSON). You can read more about our French classes in our curriculum guide.
Summer In France
Students live and travel together for a month to improve their language skills, deepen their cultural understandings, make personal connections, and grow as independent travelers and members of the global community. They visit Nantes and its surrounding region, Bordeaux and the Atlantic Coast, the Dordogne region, and Paris.
