What does it cost to attend Maret?

What are the hours of the school day?

School Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Grades K–4	8:00 a.m.–2:50 p.m.
Grade 5-6	8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Grades 7–8	8:00 a.m.–3:25 p.m.
Grades 9-12	8:10 a.m. –3:10 p.m.

Wednesday Early Dismissal

Grades K–4	8:00 a.m.–1:40 p.m.
Grade 5	8:00 a.m.–1:55 p.m.
Grade 6	8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Grade 7–8	8:00 a.m.–2:15 p.m.
Grades 9-12	8:10 a.m.–1:50 p.m.

Upper School athletics run from 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Times may vary if practice is canceled or when there is an away game.

Does Maret provide bus transportation?

Maret does not provide bus transportation to and from school. We are a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park/Adams Morgan Metro station (Red Line). We provide shuttle bus service from the Woodley Park station to campus at 7:40 a.m. and 7:50 a.m.

Additionally, Metrobus stops directly in front of our campus.

Maret does provide bus transportation to/from all away games for students participating in team sports.

DIRECTIONS TO CAMPUS

Beginning in Middle School, there are extracurricular (outside-of-class) options in visual and performing arts as well.
Lower and Middle School physical education and team sports take place during the regular school day. Upper School students participate in sports after school, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Middle School play and musical rehearsals begin at 3:30 p.m.

Do students wear uniforms?

Does Maret offer before and after school care?

Before School Care

There is no before-school care for Lower School students. However, students are welcome to arrive at 7:45 a.m.—15 minutes before the start of the school day.
Middle School students may arrive on campus as early as 7:30 a.m.
Upper School students may arrive on campus as early as 7:00 a.m.

After School Care

Maret offers an engaging After School Program for grades K-8 from September through June.
Hours of operation are 2:45–6:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and 1:40–6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Fees range between $4,200-$5,900/school year. (Need-based financial aid is available.)
The After School Program will not operate on days students are not in school.
