Apply To Middle School (5-8)
Talk to anyone in Maret’s middle school, and you’ll come to appreciate the joy, excitement, energy, curiosity, and quest for meaningful connections that are hallmarks of the middle school experience.
Thriving in Middle School
Students in Maret's middle school are seen, known, and heard because we know that when students feel a sense of belonging they thrive and excel. Small advising groups, committees, circles, and clubs help cultivate a warm and welcoming learning environment. And, our house system encourages connections across Grades 5–8 through friendly competitions and community building activities. In addition, our Wellness program empowers students to take charge of their well-being and be responsible, positive members of the community.

STUDENT AND PARENT/GUARDIAN INTERVIEWS
The interview is a REQUIRED part of the application process. This interview is a chance for us to speak one-on-one with your child and then speak with you and answer your questions. The total interview time lasts about 45-60 minutes. Interviews are offered most school days September through January and can be conducted via Zoom or in person. [We will reach out to 5th and 8th grade applicants in late January to schedule an interview if space becomes available in either of those grades.]
Your application does NOT need to be completed before an interview. But all interviews must be scheduled by the application deadline January 5, 2023 by 5:00 p.m.
Students are asked to write an essay of up to one page on a topic described on the application form.
Current Math and English teacher recommendations are REQUIRED. An additional recommendation is requested from a homeroom teacher who has worked with your child in an in-person school experience.
Parents and guardians can send the recommendation form link directly to the recommender through Ravenna.
No outside admission testing is required or will be accepted this admission season.
A transcript or report card is REQUIRED from the previous and current school year. Parents and guardians can send the transcript request form link directly to the school through Ravenna.
