Dear Families, Upper School Students, and Faculty,
This week we continued our testing with FiveMedicine. Two of our faculty members tested positive, and today we learned that one of our Upper School students received a positive test result. In addition, a number of our Upper School students and faculty are in quarantine. Therefore, we will resume 100% virtual learning in the Upper School starting tomorrow (Friday, November 19). Please note that we will continue to use the COL-Hybrid schedule on Friday; however, starting on Monday (November 23), the COL-at-Home schedule that was in place at the start of this semester will be back in effect. Also, athletics and all other on-campus events have been cancelled until further notice, effective this afternoon.
We have been very intentional in keeping the Divisions separate, so we will still welcome our 6th through 8th grade Toads onto campus tomorrow. Because of cross-over teachers and schedules, we will then ask these students to go back to COL at Home on Monday, November 23, until our return to campus on, hopefully, December 7. The schedules of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 will not be disrupted, and they should come to campus through Tuesday, November 24, as planned.
Division Directors will follow up with any clarifications about the schedules as needed.
We are thankful that our community members continue to promptly notify us of any positive test results or possible exposures so that we can take appropriate action. I want to remind you to please continue to remain vigilant and be in contact with our nurses (email@example.com) should you experience any change in your health. This is vitally important.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
