As the culminating project, students studied The Laramie Project. The Law, Culture, and Society class (Humanities Elective) worked in four groups to create Laramie Project style plays that answer the following question about the experiences of LGBTQ people in American society: Where are We Now? The plays dealt with four different topics: LGBT and Religion, LGBTQ and Race, LGBTQ and Employment, and LGBTQ Families. In addition to using the voices of people outside of our community, they found through research, many of the groups included material from interviews of people in the Maret community. The groups presented their plays in the theatre.
