The Annual People of Color Conference (PoCC) was in Seattle December 2019. It is essentially a gathering, a celebration, a collaboration, for people of color working in independent schools. It includes three days of performances, workshops, and talks to help people of color get what they need in order to be whole and to feel supported as workers in predominantly white spaces. There are multiple affinity group sessions over the three days as well as some of the most heavy-hitting scholars and educators in the equity game. Dr. Joy Degruy was the opening speaker.
