Amina Pookrum '05 first learned to play lacrosse as a middle schooler at Maret, and went on to become a 3-year varsity starter, helping lead the team to the school's first ever ISL A division title in 2005. She walked on to the varsity basketball and lacrosse teams at Div. III Williams College and played 2 years before suffering a career ending knee injury. She then served as student assistant coach for the lacrosse team, which played to a 2nd place finish in the NESCAC her final year. Since graduation, she has coached all ages and skill levels with a focus on imparting skill development, technical knowledge and persistence to her players. To Coach Pookrum, a successful season is defined by collective improvement, cohesion, and fun. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and love of the game with a talented group of student athletes and helping them reach their goals. Email Ms. Pookrum
