This camp provides individual instruction to each athlete through a variety of coaching techniques and incorporate these fundamentals into a team concept. Each day, campers will be exposed to skill instruction covering all facets of the game along with team play. Through guest lectures and a series of motivational speeches by Chuck Driesell, Maret's varsity basketball head coach, campers will be inspired to succeed not only on the basketball court, but also in the larger game of life. We believe each athlete is special and deserves to be treated that way.
Please note:
  • Participants should provide their own lunch (that does not need to be refrigerated) and a water bottle.
  • We do not offer before or after care for summer camps.

Camp Director

When it comes to teaching the game of basketball, Chuck Driesell is one of the best. Coach Driesell has been coaching college and high school basketball for over 30 years. After spending nine years as the associate head coach at James Madison University under the direction of his father, "Lefty" Driesell, Chuck spent six seasons as the head men's basketball coach at Marymount University, compiling an 88-72 record, including the school's first NCAA Tournament appearance. He also coached at Georgetown University, the University of Maryland, and The Citadel. Coach Driesell is currently the head basketball coach at Maret and is in his 35th year of running summer basketball camps.
