In this generative workshop, participants will explore all aspects of the creative process, including brainstorming, outlining, drafting, workshopping, and revising. Writers will focus on developing their personal style and voice while writing for an audience. Daily activities will include community brainstorming sessions, group analysis of representative texts, instructor-assisted outlining, guided writing exercises, and individual drafting. Each day will conclude with a wrap-up activity. By the end of the week, students will have a portfolio consisting of four to five original pieces.
Please note:
- Participants should provide their own lunch (that does not need to be refrigerated) and a water bottle.
- We do not offer before or after care for summer camps.
