Immersion I:
Immerse students in the Spanish language through fun activities that include cooking, music, dance, art, and stories from a world country! Every week, children explore a country through games, songs, crafts, and arts while learning a language. Students spend their day indoors and outdoors, engaging with peers, playing, learning, and developing skills that help them become global citizens!

Immersion II:
Campers continue their immersion in the Spanish language by cooking, dancing, creating art, and listening to music and stories from a world country! Students spend their day indoors and outdoors, engaging with peers, playing, learning, and developing skills that help them become global citizens! It doesn't matter if it is your first or second week in this camp since we travel to different countries daily.
Please note:
  • Participants should provide their own lunch (that does not need to be refrigerated) and a water bottle.
  • We do not offer before or after care for summer camps.

Camp Directors

Erika Delgado teaches Spanish in the Upper School at Maret and is a former Maret Lower School Spanish Teacher. She has twenty three years of experience as an educator, a master’s degree in Foreign Language Education and has been teaching at Maret for eight years.

Ana Lya Núñez  teaches Spanish in Kindergarten, 4th, and 5th grade at Maret. She is from México, where she graduated from law school. After practicing for some years, She found her passion for teaching which led her to pursue a specialty in teaching Spanish as a second language and a master's degree in Spanish linguistics. She has been at Maret for eight years.
