Since 1994 Head of School Marjo Talbott has had a tremendous, positive impact on Maret. Among her many accomplishments, she:

• Oversaw the implementation of two strategic plans and the newest dynamic Strategic Directions
• Envisioned and implemented several major facilities expansions, adding more than 50% to classroom and programmatic space on campus
• Fueled numerous record-breaking fundraising campaigns
• Confronted Maret’s past in light of institutional racial harm, inequities, and sexual misconduct so that the School and community could heal and establish preventative systems and programs to advance Maret’s Mission.
• Introduced many visionary program innovations, including the Case Institute for Curricular Innovation and Excellence; the complete overhaul of the School’s technology capabilities; the groundbreaking Malone Schools Online Network (MSON) consortium with Stanford University; the school-wide integration of community engagement and partnerships; Maret's Institutional Research program; and the foundational incorporation of equity and inclusion into the Mission of the School

Maret School is a nonprofit private independent school, governed by a Board of Trustees. Members of the parent body, alumni, greater community, and past faculty are represented on the Maret School board. The board works to ensure that Maret remains financially stable, fiscally responsible, forward-thinking, and adherent to its mission and core values. Under the guidance of its president, the board is comprised of several working committees, each of which examines key issues and makes policy recommendations that strengthen the School and support its goals
